Description
BBT-TIT is a Near-infrared second window fluorescence AIE probe. Near-infrared second-region absorption and near-infrared second-region emission materials, due to the longer wavelength of the near-infrared second-region, can better penetrate biological tissues. Compared with visible light and near-infrared region I (NIR-I, 700-900 nm), NIR-II light has less scattering and absorption in biological tissues, thus enabling optical imaging to remain clear in deeper tissues. In the NIR-II band, the autofluorescence of biological tissues is significantly weakened, thereby significantly improving the signal-to-noise ratio and enhancing the imaging quality. Because the energy of NIR-II light is relatively low, compared with ultraviolet or visible light, it has lower phototoxicity to organisms and therefore has higher safety in in vivo imaging.
