Heat Shock Proteins (HSPs) are a kind of Heat stress Proteins that exist widely from bacteria to mammals. When an organism is exposed to high temperatures, it is thermally stimulated to produce this protein to protect itself. Many heat shock proteins have molecular chaperone activity. HSP110, HSP90, HSP70, HSP60 and small Heat Shock Proteins (sHSPs)are divided into five groups according to the size of the Proteins.
