9-Hydroxyellipticine hydrochloride is a inhibitor of Topo II and RyR. 9-Hydroxyellipticine hydrochloride exhibits antitumor, antioxidant and catecholamine-releasing activities. 9-Hydroxyellipticine hydrochloride exhibits IC50 values of 1.6 μM and 1.2μM in Hela S-3 and 293T cells, respectively.

How to use
In Vitro:
9-Hydroxyellipticine (9HE) causes selective inhibition of p53 protein phospborylation in Lewis lung carcinoma and SW480 (human colon cancer cell line) in a concentration-dependent manner from 0.1 to 100 μM.
In Vivo:
9-Hydroxyellipticine (5 or 10 mg/kg, ip) results in chromosome clumping and sister chromatid exchange in murine bone marrow cells.
