Apyramide is an anti-inflammatory agent (NSAID) and behaves as a prodrug of indomethacin (HY-14397). Indomethacin is a potent, blood-brain permeable and nonselective inhibitor of COX1 and COX2.

How to use
In Vivo:
Apyramide is far less toxic than indomethacin in rats and mice by the oral or the i.p. route. It exhibits anti-inflammatory activity on carrageenin-induced paw oedema, cotton pellet granuloma and adjuvant arthritis, as well as analgesic and antipyretic activities.
